Experience grows from success, failure, and challenges.  I've been working since I was 12 as a paper boy, stockbroker, entrepreneur, and restaurant owner, so I have a deep connection with both employees and business owners. I know first hand the pain of having to declare bankruptcy, and the pride in paying back every cent. I've known the agony of serious illness in the family and the challenges of our health care system. Experience counts. 

 

Those who know me, know that they can depend upon my integrity. You won't see one Michael at the restaurant, another on vacation, and another in Madison. Don't get me wrong; I can change my mind if new facts come to light. But I don't go back on my word as you might see in another campaign. I can't be bought, and I don't lie. Integrity counts. 

 

My friends call me the Honey Badger, and with good reason. Going back to my days as a stock car racer, I enjoy a good competition, and I don't give up. Year after year, I've gone back to Madison to fight for the issues that are important to you, my constituents. Despite roadblocks from Democrats, fellow Republicans, and lobbyists, I persevere to push ahead with needed reforms. Persistence counts.
